Ray Washmera - President For some of our clients, one notable constant in their purchasing program over the years has been Ray Washmera. Since joining McKeany-Flavell in 1978, he has played an instrumental role in defining our reputation in the trade as a resource that enhances the buying and selling of ingredients. His dedication is the reason behind some of our most solid and longstanding relationships.
Ray has been instrumental in redefining our role in the commodity ingredient industries over the past thirty years. He has been president of McKeany-Flavell in 1997.
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University.

Bill Wiser - Executive Vice President As the head of our ingredient sales division, Bill tackles the concerns of our largest clients.
With over 30 years of experience in the sweetener business, and nearly as many in cocoa, Bill continues to work in these two challenging categories, delivering consistently excellent results for our customers and principals alike.
Bill has been with McKeany-Flavell since 1981. He earned a degree in Accounting and Economics from Utah State University.

Steve Vuilleumier - Senior Vice President Steve heads our information sales division, and has provided vital counsel to the top food and beverage companies in the United States, and indeed, the world.
Steve is an acknowledged expert in the sweetener markets, as evidenced by his many speaking engagements at industry events over the years. Since joining the company in 1976, Steve has cultivated our information offerings in sweeteners and other ingredients.
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an M.B.A. from Long Beach State University.

John Ortelle - Vice President With over 30 years of experience in managing sales, product sourcing and implementation, and leading multifunctional teams in the ingredient industries, John successfully established the fruit categories at McKeany-Flavell.
John has effectively grown other parts of the business, impacting the corn sweetener, sugar, cocoa, and chocolate areas. He contributes his market experience to our strategic commercial intelligent services, actively helping clients achieve their goals.
He studied biology at San Francisco State University, and he joined the company in 1991.

Craig Ruffolo - Vice President Craig leads our efforts in information sales, working with clients to ensure we deliver the critical intelligence they need. As the needs of our customers have developed in recent years, he has also helped establish our information product development efforts.
Since joining McKeany-Flavell in 1995, Craig has developed expertise in several categories - sugar, corn sweeteners, coffee, honey, and edible oils - making frequent speaking engagements for international audiences on behalf of the company.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.

Kevin Combs - Vice President Kevin joined McKeany-Flavell in 1999, quickly becoming our point person on the Mexican sugar industry. He works extensively with suppliers and customers to facilitate the import and export of Mexican sugar to facilitate trade under NAFTA.
In addition, Kevin advises clients in the food and beverage industries on the commodities we cover including sugar, corn sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate, and edible oils, focusing on sales, procurement, market trends, and risk-management.
Kevin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Mike Caughlan - Vice President Mike’s commercial and economic perspectives regarding the areas of cocoa and sweeteners have earned him a well regarded reputation among clients. Mike contributes regularly to established trade publications and provides market analysis and strategic forecasting to some of the food and beverage industry’s most notable companies.

Nicole Thomas - Commodity Analyst As the Commodity Analyst for McKeany-Flavell, Nicole Thomas stays abreast of multiple commodity markets and the markets they impact. Being the newest member of our team, Nicole brings a fresh perspective to our growing company to give our clients the most comprehensive information possible.
She began her career as an account manager for Bunge Oils before becoming a grain merchandiser. Nicole joined McKeany-Flavell in February, 2008.
Nicole holds a B.S. in Business Marketing from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO.
